he comes home with blatant christian teachings which of course have no proof but will also not give up which teachers are "witnessing" to him

we have to sit him down and deprogram him all the time, show him that what they are telling him is an opinion, even if popular, is not necessarily to be his

my kid’s religion or lack of it is my business…

how does a parent go about stopping this?
last year, we did a spoof of christmas and did Saturnalia

my kid told his teacher and came home with Saturnalia info ( I liked her much more than his 10 lb silver cross wearing fundie he has now)
we keep thinking it won’t happen…

I imagine the principle is christian as is the board…if a teacher is ‘busted’ the justice will have to come from the District Super (possibly goes to same Bible Mega Church)
I think saying the students are witnessing (2nd graders) is a cop out unless you are talking about 5th graders

but a teacher using a known christian student for a mouthpiece? brilliant
let my child decide?

HELLO!

that’s what parents are for. we stand in the way of people putting adult content into their heads before they are ready…
we counter the propaganda of christianity and "neutralize" it….

that’s what I mean by deprogramming

we show him using google and other things all sides of the coin, not one sided indoctrination
